Join our movement and become an official member. From card-carrying union members, to the Black Panther Party, to dozens of other social justice organizations—movement groups have always been made up of official members.
Membership allows us to:
Deepen our collective commitment to our community
Become more powerful and effective in the actions we take
Membership allows you to:
Cultivate a deeper sense of belonging and investment in this work
Attend special trainings and events
Access a members-only online space where you can build community and ask questions
As a member, we ask you to commit to these responsibilities:
You agree to and operate in alignment with the EdEquity Points of Unity
Engage in at least one relational recruitment conversation each month (we’ve got a training for that!)
Participate in at least one solidarity action, training, or event each month with EdEquity or one of our coalition partners
Annual dues for members are optional:
Along with your membership commitment, for just $1 per year you become eligible to participate in consensus-based decisions on issues such as programming, endorsements, and more.
Here is a general guideline many of our members use:
If you make $40k or less per year: $0-$3/month or up to $36/year
If you make $40-$80k and/or have some wealth/savings: $3-$10/month or about $36-$120/year
If you make $80-$120k and/or have moderate wealth/savings: $11-$25/month or $132-$300/year
If you make $120k+ and/or have significant wealth/savings: $50+/month or $600+ for the year
If you make $200k+ and/or have sizable wealth/savings: $125+/month or $1,250+ for the year
We encourage you to make a contribution that is generous for you, but please only contribute if you have the means to do so.
